So I gave in to temptation and bought the macro lens I’d been eyeing (see, I said it could become expensive easily). Nice lens. Among other things a bigger aperture, and the pictures are nice and crisp. And oh so close up!
Next on the list is probably a good tripod…

Bought a Canon 30D DSLR camera last week, and have been giving my hand a try and more serious photography. I’m starting to understand how expensive a hobby photography can become, given my new desire to buy additional lenses, some software requirements (Apple’s Aperture rocks!), and potential printing expenses.
Will begin updating the site to include work I do in this area. The only problem is the Minnesota winter deciding to finally get cold- this might make it difficult for me to get outside and take decent shots for what I’d like to try my hand at most: landscape photography…
